Orto NoDa

Renown James Beard semifinalist, Paul Verica, is expanding his restaurant portfolio with an Italian concept set to open next year in the Novel NoDa project on 36th Street near N Davidson Street. Occupying over 3,000 SF, Orto – which translates to kitchen or vegetable garden in Italian – will specialize in house-made pastas and pizzas.

Verica has achieved many culinary achievements through his career and recently opened the popular farm-driven restaurant, The Stanley, in the Elizabeth neighborhood in May 2018.

Marine Layer Design Center

New Aldi Openings NC & TN

Aldi opened its doors this morning at their new store in Cary, NC off of Kildaire Farm Rd. They are joining Trader Joes and Staples in The Shoppes of Kildaire Shopping Center at 1315 Kildaire Farm Road. They are welcoming shoppers with a day of great prizes and big savings, so stop by if you can make it!

Aldi also recently opened its doors at Hamilton Village in Chattanooga, TN on October 3rd. This store is adding to the market by offering a grocery option that local shoppers need for their every day lives. A 21,000 SF store, Aldi backfilled the former Baby’s R Us space making this location the sixth Aldi’s grocery store in the Chattanooga market.⠀

Shake Shack Cary

One of the world’s most famous burger joints has made its Triangle Debut. Our client, Shake Shack, recently opened a standalone burger stand in Cary’s Waverly Place shopping center, at 310 Colonnades Way. This is the company’s first Raleigh-area location and third in North Carolina.

Homegoods Cookeville

HomeGoods opened last weekend at Jackson Plaza in Cookeville, TN. Hobby Lobby relocated and split the former Sears space with HomeGoods. Chattanooga-based firm Rise Partners purchased Jackson Plaza last June. The Providence Group represented HomeGoods in this transaction.

TJ Maxx Cleveland

Cleveland, TN has welcomed a new TJ Maxx to the Bradley Square Mall currently anchored by Belk, JC Penny, Dunham Sports & the AMC Movie Theater. Along with Ulta, Rack Room, PetSmart & Five Below, TJ Maxx is backfilling the former K-Mart store at the mall. Bradley Square Mall is well positioned and located in the heart of the dominant trade area in the Cleveland market.
